Wolverines Are the Honey Badgers of the North, Sharp claws. Sharp teeth. Bad attitude. Move over Honey Badger, there’s a new badass in town. Coyote, The Ultimate Survivor? Nature Documentary. The coyote, charismatic cousin to the wolf, is one of America’s most controversial animals. Illusive, intelligent, with a chilling call, it is an icon of the Wild West. Native Indians were inspired by it, the white ranchers hated it. Filmed right across its dramatic stronghold of Yellowstone right into the heart of modern cities, this is a remarkable story of survival against all odds.

  1. Definitely not a fight to the death here..but still a cool video. Neither creature is really an animal built for having the mental will and capability to fight to the death. Wolverines are some pretty tough, cool creatures..but they are not as powerful, ferocious, or fearless as some people may make them out to be. People think they can do and match up to anything. This is not the case. They do a very good job of deterring opponents with their strange noises they make and skunk-like smell they emit..but they will run or back down if they feel the situation is too much of a threat or too challenging. Some believe that wolverine have the fearlessness and resilience of a gamedog..but this is not true. Wolverine are great survivors and they are tough..but that does not equate to being a relentless, unyielding, game fighter that would rush into or continue through a dangerous/challenging situation regardless of the situation. And if the challenger is a creature like game Pit Bull..the wolverine's opponent would most likely show the wolverine who's boss.

I saw a video here on YouTube of a 10-month-old female American Pit Bull puppy pretty much ragdolling a badger for its owner when they were out hunting. From start to finish, the American Pit Bull was on the badger shaking it around and dominating it. It was all the badger could do to hang in there. There was a Plotthound there too, but it was kind of just kind there nipping in and out..mostly barking though.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqva2Ml3WN4

While badgers are no the same as wolverine..keep in mind that the badger is in the same family as the wolverine and can even be seen making wolverine back down..which is the case with these two wolverine that attacked a lone badger.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP-0qHybhco

Some may say that it sounds unbelievable that a Pit Bull puppy would be able and willing to handle a creature that can make a wolverine call it quits..but some of these Bully/Bulldog breeds are some serious hardy working dogs. Bred as catch dogs..Pit Bulls were bred to have the physical and mental capability to handle creatures that are bigger and more powerful. Their talents made them successful/useful at things like bullbaiting, bearbaiting, badgerfighting, and dogfighting. Unfortunately those things still go on today even in places where it is illegal..but they are still used for the legal hunting and other work they were bred for as well. I cannot see a dog like this being at a disadvantage against a wolverine.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq-CFWyPwwc

Keep in mind that horses can weigh over 2,000 lbs..but Pit Bulls are able to cause grave injury to them.
