1. I'l try to help everyone who is truly concerned, understand a bit more on this tragedy. Believe me when I tell you that I know all parties involved, from the deceased child and witnesses, to the dog owner and the very pits involved since their own birth . Oh yeah, and the idiot mail lady who claims that 1 of the pits was nice. I've had many words with the owner about his dogs and their lack of control and proper fencing. I've called the authorities numerous times about my tenants not being able to mow their lawn without the pits leaping ( half body) over the fence to attack them. The city did nothing to protect my tenants because the pits were on their side of their 4' fence. Imagine 3 pits jumping halfway across the fence at you while you're mowing your lawn, EVERY TIME you're mowing.

16. From what I understand the girls dad argued with the dogs owner a week before about the dogs and flimsy fence. So he knew about the danger to his daughter… why would he let his 9 yr old kid go unattended in such a dangerous situation with the pit bulls in the neighborhood it was a matter of time and he knew it!!!

40. Told that fool many times that his dogs were loose, sometimes in the morning, sometimes at night. I didn't hope this would happen, but I always knew it eventually would. The guy who threw the brick talking about how nice those pits were? Yeah right, I own rental properties in that city, on that very block. Them dogs were straight up vicious! My tenants would complain about them constantly. Mail man would purposely put the mail in the neighbors mailbox instead to avoid from sticking his hand in that yard.

44. I don't like it when the News media reports this kind of news, but doesn't show us a photo of the victim. Also, I fault the grown person (s) that was suppose to be monitoring this child. You don't let no child play in an alley or near it, especially in Detroit or any rough ghetto area! Also, that child was suppose to have a fannie pack with maze, pepper spray, and a box cutter in it for protection! If the grown folk who live in that house and area were aware of pit bulls and other vicious dogs running around, then they were suppose to not let her go outside in that alley or near it. The house should have been securely fenced so the girl could play in the front yard and back yard(smh). I hope and pray that the dog owner is convicted?. Children and grown people being attacked by pit bulls and bull dogs in Detroit needs to stop! Careless owners who don't keep them locked up or chained.
