My aunt had a dog with scare's on his back like her's. His old owners had a lab and it exploded or something and he got burns. The fur never grew back and he recently passed away

How come in humans, they do hysterectomies laparoscopically, but in dogs you do it the old-fashioned way? Do dogs heal from it faster than humans, or it’s less risky for them? Maybe the big scar is something that bothers humans more?
