  1. I have a hard time believing that a landslide in the Canary islands could send a wave 50m high in to the Eastern seaboard of the United States. To me it seems like the equivalent of a hand full of marbles into an olympic size swimming pool or a 5 gallon bucket of gravel in a 20 acre pond. Theres well over 3k miles of open water to help spread it all out. Earthquakes are different. They can vibrate, push up, push down for hundreds or even thousands of miles. If what they are saying is true then it’s a wonder we aren’t already extinct. I’m sure in the past 100yrs (just 100) there have been many of land slides into the ocean, bays, lakes pretty much all body’s of water and we rarely hear of such. Latoya bay in Alaska was said to have created a 100ft plus tsunami. There were 2 witnesses who survived out of like 3-4 boats and around 8 people. It was huge and stayed pretty much contained in the bay. But it was more like the equivalent of dropping a 5 gallon bucket of gravel in a regular bathtub. This is just my opinion so if lm way off then tell me.

  2. 0:47 this is not between Arabian and Eurasian plate but between African plate and Eurasian plate.
And there was tsunami in Algeria, Spain and France after huge earthquake in Algeria in 2003
