To all the morons that are quick to judge and think I set this up or why didn’t I get scissors or why my knife sucks here are the answers.
Not sure how or why it was wrapped up? I wasn’t close to my apartment to grab anything else, I only had the small cheap knife attached to my car keys. It wasn’t my car or cover so I didn’t know how the owner would react. I live connected to a metro park so I deal with raccoons a lot. He was fine after a while and went back into the woods. Rabies are very rare in our area, I’m not saying it couldn’t happen but this raccoon DID NOT have rabies. Everything turned out great and you guys got a front row seat to an amazing rescue. I also didn’t know the dude that stepped in to actually save the raccoon at the time which made it kinda awkward because I was recording it. So chill the fuck out! Oh yeah plus I was already recording Pryor to the fact and it was filmed on my iPhone for all the ass hats that think I had some camera equipment. Dammit ?♂️
The raccoon: “ you went to get GLOVES? Get me out of here! Where you going now? What’s so important about that little box ? Get me OUT of here! Stoopid big bear, you are not going to eat me…. get me out of here! “

Misconception about people that see raccoons out during the daytime or typically mother's trying to find food for their kits. This guy's a f**** idiot. Are you serious the guys 200lbs raccoon weighs about 15 pounds in Disguise afraid of it. What kind of moron are you just let the damn animal go get a pair of scissors clip it and Let It Go free God or grab it by his lower jaw with gloves and it can't bite you I mean stick your hand right in its mouth just like I've done with German Shepherds and other animals are reaching to grab their lower jaw and they didn't even know how to fight they gave totally confused. And yes I have raccoons right now in my backyard and I'm taking care of him and I've had them as pets and they're very docile animals

Mrs raccoon was spinning because when she was twisted up in the car cover she had a stroke, lack of oxygen. My dog did the same after a stroke , she kept spinning.Its brain damage but the raccoon started eating OK. Well done for saving her.
Make sure you post the emergency scenario before you get the camera out. Save it and tell your pals you done a good deed. No phone would be in sight with genuine things. Fuck off
