Baby orangutans on the island of Sumatra are being captured and sold as pets, but charities are working to rescue the animals and confront the owners.
This is a series about the animals of Indonesia’s Leuser rainforest and the people trying to save them. Leuser is one of the most biodiverse places on earth.

People have dogs as a pet that's an animal. Maybe the orangutan could of been trained. The orangutan was holding on to his owner like a child being taken away from his mother.

Sometimes I really think humans are the true animals. They take and take and don’t care about who they hurt or who gets killed as long as they are making money. If i was rich I would invest my money into savings theses beautiful animals. And the beautiful rainforest. We have enough why want to take it away from others and theses beautiful animals. Your going to make your decision to take what is going to be here for our grandchildren And children’s please pray that this will stop ?

This is sad ?. Orangutans are basically herbivores , they don't eat fish, goat, prawn, beef…. Etc
Their staple diet is leaves, shoots, bark and fruits. Not fat and chubby. Unhealthy sort , very healthy diet.
