People who rescue or assist an animal at the potential risk of their own lives are true heroes. Animal Aid in India has an amazing youtube channel. In India there seems to be a lot of open water tanks, sewage drains & deep open pits that animals fall into. I don't know why a simple grate isn't placed over them to prevent animals or children from falling in & requiring rescue.
