We got a call to rescue a street dog that locals told us hadn’t moved from the same spot in over two days.
Our rescuers found her so frail that she couldn’t move, and immediately we saw why: Several of her teeth were broken and her jaw was fractured.

So she was severely impaired from an accident or deliberate injury. Took days, possibly weeks, for her to begin starving to the point of weakness. It wasn't until two f'ing days passed of seeing her motionless on the floor for people to suddenly decide: “Uh, maybe we should call someone?”
