  1. i have a few questions. Q1 how did they get this footage? Q2 why was this shot like a horror movie? Q3 were the slithering and slimey noises really made by the octo or added in post?

  2. No disparagement meant to Mr. Attenborough, but more than one species of octopus can survive outside the water for surprisingly long periods of time–even if they don't specifically hunt that way. Moreover, they are VERY smart. I know of one that was kept in an an aquarium in a beach house by the ocean who removed the lid, climbed out, crawled across the floor, opened a screen door, and managed to get from the house to the water and swim away. The owner, an acquaintance of mine, watched it go and followed it. He decided that such intelligence and determination deserved freedom, so he made no attempt to re-capture the animal, merely followed it across the sand and watched it disappear back home.

Nor is this story unique. The octopus just might be the most extraordinary animal ever. Here's more:

  3. The kinda slimy sound effects are kinda off and very exaggerated. Reminds me of the computer "electronic" sounds in series and movies.
