  1. Tonight I was crying over my girl who passed lat October and needed to see a dog so found this video I've seen before. It made me feel better until the next crying jag. Been without my girl 8 months.

  2. We were looking for a small dog to be company for me during the day. We were told about a 14 yr old Bichon Frise who needed a home. I imagined a very old toothless balding sad looking senior. What we have is a feisty, beautiful, grand Duchess who took over our lives just over a year ago. She is now 15 and is still healthy and full of character and quirks. We love you Boo.

  3. If you adopt elder dogs. They are already pee and potty outside,
They dont bite on things and slipper,
They will try thier best as they know how they feel without someone. They will give you unconditional love as they are puppy by heart.

  4. We adopt older or special needs dogs/cats. We currently have 6 cats/4 dogs & it's like having a hospice and WE LOVE IT!! Puppies & kittens are easy to place, not so easy for a 12 year old blind cat with high blood pressure. We love them for as long as they are with us & each one we tell: You'll break my heart one day but for now we are gonna love you, love you, love you. We are on our 30th rescue and I'm crying as I type this. Some we have for years & some for just a few months, but the love they give will last forever.

  5. Old dogs rule! They are calmer, usually housetrained but with a tiny bit of patience, they'll learn, love to love, and SO much easier to live and share your home with!

  6. We adopted my dog Serena from the streets, she was abandoned while pregnant close to where my dad works, she had her puppies there and they were all adopted
Serena was the only one left, so my dad decided to take her home and adopt her, this happened in 2009, she was 6 years old when she was abandoned
She's now 16 and it's the best dog you could ever imagine, and she has a BFF now, named Ringo! He's 9 months old
They get along really well but Serena pretends she doesn't like him when I'm around

  7. I would love nothing more than to rescue old dogs, but it's hard to at this point in my life. I'm still really young and work all day. I hope to one day have the kind of money/job that I can stay home and be able to give my pets the full attention they need. Bless people who go out of their way to make sure these souls get nothing but love in their last years

  8. Why are old dogs with their sad eyes make me want to cry so much. And why are they so cute! Everybody says a puppy is better, well obviously not.

  9. Seniors rock–I volunteer @ my local SPCA with the dogs (+ rabbits); the puppies are adopted in a flash, but my heart soars when a senior finds a furever home (like the 10ish bunny who just was chosen over the baby bun)!
