Fetita (meaning Little Girl) – a little homeless dog abandoned on the streets of the city. The night we first spotted her, a man walking his dog suddenly rushed toward her and chased her toward the busy street. Apparently for him Fetita was only the stray dog he had any right to hit… A scene that, sadly, has became too common here in Romania.
Frightened, she ran away and we weren’t able to catch her that night. But we found her the following night and, luckily, managed to rescue and take her in our care. The vet approximated she was a young dog, not older than 1 year so one week later we had her spayed. We made her all the necessary vaccines, routine medical examinations and promised her to find the loving forever home she needed so much.
Two months later this little beauty, with her funny cute short legs, was adopted by a wonderful family.
* Update: 10 months after the rescue we went to visit her in her forever home. We found a happy, healthy, playful and loved dog, as any dog on this planet deserves to be.
**Update: 2 years after the rescue we paid her another visit. Such a joy to see her again safe and happy. And spoiled by every member of the family. A really lucky dog.
*** If we could think a little more about things we can do, and a little less about things we cannot do, we would all have a happy ending story to tell.
